What this diagram shows

A plan view of a 240 V spa. A GFCI-protected maintenance disconnect sits at least 5 feet from the water and within sight, feeding the spa. A dashed equipotential bonding loop of #8 solid copper ties the metal parts together around the tub. A checklist notes the three Article 680 requirements: GFCI on all outlets (680.44), disconnect 5+ feet and in sight (680.13), and #8 solid copper bonding (680.26).
