What this diagram shows

A one-line EV charger circuit: a panel with a 60 A GFCI 2-pole breaker feeds 6 AWG copper to a 48 A EVSE and the car. A bracket shows 48 A times 1.25 equals 60 A — the breaker and wire are sized at 125% of the charging current because EV charging is a continuous load. The charger tops out at 80% of the breaker, and units above 48 A must be hardwired.
