Wrapping house-wrap corners — carry it around, never seam at the corner
Carry the wrap continuously around each corner and lap 6–12″ onto the next wall — never seam it at the corner. Those laps are wrap you buy on top of the bare wall area.
What this diagram shows
A plan view of an outside corner and an inside corner. At both, the house wrap runs continuous around the corner and laps at least six to twelve inches onto the next wall, so the overlap never lands at the corner where wind could blow it open. At the inside corner the wrap is pressed fully into the corner. Upper courses shingle-lap over lower ones and vertical seams overlap at least six inches and are taped. That corner lap is extra wrap beyond the bare wall area, which the calculator adds.
